Not getting out today
To all: Deana was scheduled to get out today. I use the word was because we are still at the hospital. Due to the reaction Deana had to the chemotheray the doctors have decided to keep her for a few days and monitor her. Deana still has the rash/sunburn, itchy eyes, and swelling. Deana is more comfortable with being in the hospital at this point anyway so everything worked out. I have an extreme case of cabin fever. I have gained 15 pounds since the beginning of this whole mess and have to adjust my gun belt. I cant wait to get out of the hospital. I will update when I have more news.

It was but I added a few after you left smart ass! :)
Sorry to hear Deana is reacting - hopefully she can sleep and the worst will work its way out of her system - as for that extra 15...
Don't worry training will take that right off! And if you're interested in some advice... Ken and I are both on the Abs diet. I love it, I haven't lost so much as toned and had my energy skyrocket. Ken has a few complaints about a few extra pounds as well, but between his new job and starting school again, he's trying to figure out when to work out, he did abs this morning while I ran a 5 K, it'll find its place for you too...
Oh, and it's not as if being a smart ass doesn't run in this family....
Hey there ... 15 pounds, eh! I didn't think that hospital food was supposed to be that good :0) Better be careful - you will start looking alot like our local police officers. Remember how you always used to make such fun of our police chief!
Sorry to hear about the chemo reactions ... sounds a bit better than the nauseau and dizziness that came with the last bout though.
I'll continue to pray for Deana to have strength and perserverence as she finishes out this chemo session. I'll also pray that you can lose your fifteen pounds (Oh wait ... I've prayed that prayer before and it doesn't seem to work)
I'm going to talk to the girls here in NY and we are going to try to put together a care package of things for Deana to do as she is laying in bed. Mom thought that perhaps that might be a good idea. Let us know if you have any suggestions for goodies.
Love you lots, pray for you both everyday, thanks for keeping us informed.
Here's a hug and kiss ... XOXO - Sonya
Well - I am feeling a wee bit left out, so I suppose i will tag behind this blog as opposed to starting a new one!!
Just wanted to share some news - Our cutie pie is walking. It cracks me up - it takes here about 2 shaky days with a new skill before she'd is mastered it. She is literally making laps around the house. Cannot wait for aunt sonya and tyna to see. (ps her b-day party is scheduled for sept 10th evening ladies). And for grandpa and ma meeks to visit again.
Speaking of which do you guys have any dates in october yet? You know me just trying to plan ahead.
As for your extra pounds little bro. I was recently just there (gotta love the baby fat). And I will say three simple words. Portion control & RUN. Training will help, tyna is right (damn I hate saying that - hehehe). I dont like diets, and I pretty much think I deserve to have desert once every day!!! But even if you carve 30 mins a couple times a week to going for a run .... It does the body wonders.
It will help you to get a little time for yourself too. I love the way running always makes me feel like I am doing something for myself, and some time to clear the air, or pound out my frustrations. (like waiting and waiting to see if I am going to get this new job or not). If you live in a nice neighboorhood - evening night runs can be invigorating too. (I am an early morning runner, 5am love it. Before lilly wakes up. matt no sir-e-bob he'd rather wait till lilly's asleep at night).
Well I guess thats it. Pray for lilly's noggin everyone, she is bumping it left and righ. She has a couple of bruises to show for her newly acquired talent.
love to all
